If it was 10 years from now where would you be and how would you refer....
by New light for you into ponder.... if it was 10 years + from now, all this jw stuff was just a thing of the past and you made it thru and life is good now... where would you be?

Reverse witnessing!
by jacethespace insince leaving the watchtower and getting out from under its mind control my life has started to take off better than ever before.. ive got a great job im happy with.
started dating normal people again.
and i just have more time to take intrest in family and freinds and other things in life.. which is why my best revenge is to show how happy i am to my ex congregation members whenever i see them.i like to see what there reaction is.. today i was travelling home from work and was in the greatest mood ever so when i saw one of my ex congs associates- mel it made my day.. she came and waited for the bus in the queue at first she seemed to avoid looking at me even when i waved at her she looked away so i was determind to wait for her in the queue.. so i was like "hi mel ".

I agree. We need to make a GOOD name for apostates.. so they cant say "see! you go crazy when you leave the truth!!"
I love having a nice NORMAL conversation, and showing them EVERYTHING IS GOOD!!
i wasn't smart enough to know about this when i was reading COC, i kinda freaked on my friends.. but now a little time has passed and i can show them it's ALL GOOD... maybe they should follow?

i said "no".
i also said that when we move i have no intentions of going back to the kh.

Can you think of a positive thing the JW's gave you?
by Greensleeves inthis is something that will possibly piss off a lot of people.
i left the jw family i was raised in when i was 16. i had a lot of angst and just wanted freedom.
i spent some time in my early 20's reconsidering that decision to leave jwdom and came back to the decision i made at 16, but was more logical and informed that time around.

I agree with not being afraid to talk to anybody, or talk in front of people. and i was the most shy person in the word before, if i didn't get into the witnesses, i would still be sitting in a corner. They gave me tons of instant-all beit conditional- friends and made you comfortable talking to everyone.
I also like that we always were comfortable with people of every age bracket, i think that's from the hall as well.

i'm thinking cuz i was at my shrink's today... and i'm cleaning... those 2 things get my brain working and i was thinking..... i am (was) a jw (ex) who is a housewife, "at home mom".
could there possibly be anyone else in the whole friggin world who has ever used their brain less???

Thank you all...
And this really honestly wasn't a "pitty party".. in fact, it was a big realization for me. I came into the witnesses when i was a young teen with my mom and we were going thru the divorce. There are things that i got positive out of being in, yes. But overall, you NEVER have to make a choice or decision... "oh, what do I think about that? i dont know, let me look at some WT's and get back to you because i cant think for myself and am not allowed"
Anyway, this was positive. Yes, i need to find out what i like, what i could get into- college, reading reading... anyway, it just occured to me... you dont use it, you lose it! Yes, i could have taken more control of the household stuff, i did let it go, and i dont necessairly need to be in charge either, it was just part of the whole understanding that it was complete in every aspect it seemed. I think other at-home-moms could relate..,. it's a high burn-out job.

OOMP!- you know i love you... even for scarring my clumsey husband for life!! Thank you, and i really should know at least what the bills are and how that all works "in case" kinda stuff.... when you have a clumsey husband, you should be prepared!!

Could there POSSIBLY be ANYONE ELSE in the whole FRIGGIN WORLD who has ever used their brain LESS??? honestly... even that tribe they found in the amazon... they could hunt and catch their food. See, i dont even know where that is cuz i've NEVER HAD TO THINK!!!
Oh my gosh! What a realization!! I couldn't go to college, cuz we were "good"... and then your every thought and opinion was predetermined. Then also in my own life... I havn't written a check except for a few school pictures in 10 years. I wouldn't know how to pay a bill in this day and age, or how many there are or what they could be for. In fact, i dont even know what else there is to being alive than chasing around children who wont listen to me, and cleaning the house.AND THATS NOT CUTE! and it DOESN"T mean "oh she's got it good"(i'm not denying that it's nice to not have worries, but worries is not the issue). it means that I've never had to think .... Where do you even start?
This CANNOT be what life is about. But, i have NOT allowed my brain to function, practically, religiously, philosophcally, politically (?) but see, i dont even know what is out there TO ponder!!
Anyway... it's amazing what you can come up with while scrubbing toilets.... this CANT be my destiny.
